The Anything Multi Pant was one of my first projects at 686. After discussing the need to grow 686's lifestyle and spring collections I pitched the idea of creating a crossover pant that combined all the features you need for a day hike up Quandary Peak with the silhouette and styling to fit in on Pearl Street. After some research and a few quick in-house prototypes I found a solution to the challenge of merging comfort and ample pockets with a slim and understated silhouette. After a bit of tinkering I designed a knee articulation that allowed for extra volume around the knee and creating a pre-bent knee as well as limiting the impact of internal seam allowance on movement by strategically repositioning and curving seams, adding darts, and creating a quadrant panel layout. Pockets were adapted to work with these new seam lines and the cargo pockets were made to double as venting if needed. It was a joy to design such a relatable product and I was thrilled to see them be rolled out to the public in March of 2019. I have included the tech pack I made for these pants. Pattern pieced were made by me by hand and sent to the factory along with a prototype and the tech pack.
*Tech pack was generated during initial internship with 686 and is included in my public portfolio with company permission
